Dune Boulder

Colorado > Grand Junction… > Unaweep Canyon > Nine Mile Hill > Nine Mile Bould… > Mecca Boulder Area > Pink Floyd Area

Description

This is one of the best boulders that I've come across in Unaweep. It is found up past the Flyco Boulder about 40 yards below the cliff.

Getting There

Head past the Flyco Boulder towards the cliff band.

Per N R: from the Gunny Gold Boulder, continue on the footpath in a northerly direction and enter the Pink Floyd area. Pass the Entrada, Guidance, and Clevis Boulders. Soon after, you'll reach a huge boulder (one of biggest in the canyon), follow the path along the boulder's east side. At the northeast corner, leave the path and head almost straight north for about thirty yards, and you'll see the boulder's south face.

[Hide Comment] @Brad, Thanks! Nothing like finding the already found within twenty yards of a set of boulders that I've visited a few dozen times ;).

@Jared, I'm looking forward to it! Oct 29, 2014
