Overview

This hill gets a lot of sun through the day. Time your approach with the time of day and weather. The trek is worth it for the bouldering freak. Rock quality is great. Landing zones vary extremely, while top-out problems require a sharp eye one the sharp pointed friends.

aka Tubine Hill Boulders is divided into two major areas of description: The East Side Boulders (the south-east cliff face and detached boulders that face the lake) and The North Side Boluders (the north-east cliff face and boulders which slope towards the sea and the wind turbines. The West Slope is an easier approach to the summit ridge that does not have much rock exposure.

We approached via the dirt road on the coast that leads to the wind turbines. It worked but I would not recommend it. It appeared as though the best approach is from the main road. May 21, 2017
