Fee Demo Wall Rock Climbing

Notice: Stegosaurus Butte is open to climbers while also under active development. Developers are taking precautions to avoid disruptions and prioritize the safety of all on and around the cliffs. Climbers, take note of signage and tape denoting fall zones on the ground. Please avoid these zones and communicate clearly if you need to cross them.

Beautiful slabby granite on the north side of Stegosaurus Butte. The original slab routes here were put up in 2002, and have mostly been cleaned and rebolted with some retrobolting as of 2026. Development on this wall restarted a few years ago and since then some beautiful crack lines have also been found and cleaned. The wall is also tall and already has some long 3-pitch routes with potential for some even longer lines.

Did I mention how good the rock is here? It's some of the highest quality slabby granite that I've climbed on in Washington. As more development continues, this wall is destined to become a classic granite climbing destination for Washington climbers

With the recent development, you can get down from most routes with a 70m rope, but an 80m is highly recommended and generally makes things easier
