Description

This is a buildering area at the Robert Sibley Volcanic Regional Preserve by the Sibley Staging Area (the maps / bathrooms building). There is an ~50' traverse, with an infinite number of variations and other smaller options (like a few 9' tall, 2' wide columns). The wall is covered, so you should be cool to climb in the rain.

All kinds of fun holds abound! Slopers, knobs, jugs, crimps, pinchers! You can easily spend an hour or two here beating the hell out of your forearms and following your practice with a moderate hike.

If you want to do the full traverse you'll have to deal with two obstacles (a map container and a large map), both visible in the photo.

Have fun!

Getting There

From Highway 24 take the Fish Ranch Road immediately east of the Caldecott Tunnel. Continue 0.8 miles to Grizzly Peak Boulevard. Turn left and go 2.4 miles on Grizzly Peak to Skyline Boulevard. Turn left and drive .1 mile to the preserve entrance on the left. Park and walk the 30 seconds to the building.
