North Quarry Talus

Minnesota > Blue Mounds SP… > Bouldering @ Bl… > N Quarry Area

Description

The North Quarry Talus is the collection of boulders strewn on the hillside south of the Orc Wall and North of the quarry. The boulders here are generally taller with landings which range from bad to terrible. The North Quarry Talus has some of the best overhanging problems in the park.

Getting There

Access from trails on the north side of the quarry or follow the trail south from the Kanaranzi area.

[Hide Comment] The cube has another route to the right of the corner route. As for "The Chamber" that was the first bouldering boulder problem I did at BM it would have taken place in either 08/09 with Justin E. We had a name for it and would warm up on the formation before hitting the cube. There are also 2 other known problems in the area that are really really solid. Dec 23, 2011

[Hide Comment] So far by my count there are 16 boulder problems in the North Quarry Talus, all of which are in this section except for "fourth dimension" which you (Mike) already put up in the larger North quarry section (can admins move this stuff around?). There are also by my count at least six more problems which are probably harder than v4-5 and I don't know if they have been done. I am sure some of these are the problems you are referring to.
