Description
A rather obscure venue, with one great climb that makes a visit worthwhile. Quarried gritstone, variable quality. Low lying and sheltered, but often green and damp due to shading trees. Best visited on a sunny spring day before the trees are in full leaf.
Getting There
This quarry is in the south of the Peak District, just off the A6, south of Cromford near Whatstandwell. Follow a track from parking by the B3035 to Crich. Duke's is the first of several well-hidden quarries.
