Description

One of the best bouldering areas in Idyllwild. Most boulders range from 10-30 feet in height and are typically face or slab climbs, with a few exceptions. The rock is high quality granite, similar to that found at Suicide Rock.

Getting There

Drive up South Ridge Road, located off of Tahquitz View Road in Idyllwild. Parts of the road can be rough or impassable for low clearance, 2wd vehicles until the road is graded. If your vehicle cannot make it all the way up, park in one of the many turnoffs and walk the rest of the way up. You know you're there when you see a large, slabby boulder in a parking area.
