Access Issue: Restrictions at busy times
Details
Access to crags above Marine Drive is restricted at times when tourists are most active, e.g. summer weekens and public holidays
Description
Limestone that faces generally east or north, though some parts get more sun. Some cliffs directly above the sea are tidal. Mix of trad and bolted routes.
Getting There
The Great Orme is limestone peninsula, a tourist attraction that lies above the Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno. Most of the climbs start from the Marine Drive, a toll road that runs around the headland. To avoid the toll, park in the town and walk for 10 minutes.
