Description Suggest change

The Grey Towers are located above and right of the obvious Pink Band (Mayfield Canyon Towers) in the center of the Wheeler Crest. These towers are characterized by rounded and smooth blank faces occasionally broken by discontinuous crack systems. Steep slabs of high-quality granite soar to heights of over a thousand feet. From US 395 they don't look like much when surrounded by the vastness of the entirety of the Wheeler Crest, but as you approach them the size and scale of these beautiful pinnacles becomes apparent.

Getting There Suggest change

Mayfield Canyon approach. Behind the Pink Band. Allow 1.5 - 3 hours, around 3,000 feet of elevation gain. No trail.
