DescriptionAn exceptional rock buttress at the Base of Mount Sorrow, next to Mount Edith Cavell. This is a quiet area, with exceptional high quality routes on perfect quartzite. The rock is very similiar to back of the lake, or Red Rocks desert climbing as well. You climb mostly on incut features, using cracks or bolts for protection.
The season is short! July to mid-September and it can snow at any time of the year.
Getting ThereFrom Jasper drive south on the icefields parkway to the Mt. Edith Cavel road turnoff. Drive up the Mt. Edith Cavell road to the parking lot. Approximately 45 minutes.
The Dune Wall is the obvious giant rock buttress on the right side of Angel Glacier. Cross the creek and scramble up the scree and small fir trees to the base of the cliff (15 minutes)
