(c) Go-Anywhere

International > N America > Canada > British Columbia > Okanagan > Skaha > (f) White Walls

Description

A small sunny crag across from great white wall. It's got a couple of good beginner leads with mostly OK protection. With about 15 climbs from 5.8 to 5.10d, Go-Anywhere is a popular spot for groups interested in lower grade routes. It's a nice place to hang out and has an excellent view of the action on Great White. Many new and upgraded stations. Nearby toilet, set back at the top of the cliff.

Getting There

Take the path just below the upper parking lot past Daycare and Diamondback. When you hit Elusive Edge, take the left path until you see a sign for a toilet. Go-Anywhere is right in front of you. You can also go right past Elusive Edge, hike up to Great White, then walk across the talus field.

[Hide Comment] As noted in the description, the protection is mostly OK. One note of caution though: some of the routes have the 2nd bolt high enough above the first that a fall just before the second bolt would be a likely ground fall. So while there are nice easy routes here, some may not be safe choices for someone new to lead. Oct 2, 2020

[Hide Comment] As of April 2023, the climbs in this area (specifically the 5.7's in the middle of the wall, e.g. riders of the storm, quo vadis, etc.) all seem to be newly and generously bolted for the grade. I think moderate climbers will find these climbs fun and safe. There is a route that is bolted to the right of a prominent flake and up and over an under cling that is really fun and moderate. I don't know what the name is but everything on this flake to the lookers right is very enjoyable for the 5.7-5.8 lead climber. This crag is worth the walk especially if Red Tail area is crowded.
