Description

Gets late morning sun till late afternoon when the sun sets behind Ben Lomond peak, climbing provides the best view you could hope for overlooking north Ogden.

Getting There

Access is from the north side of the highway at the top of North Ogden Divide. From the trailhead to Willard Peak takes most of one day for average hikers. This portion of the trail is 11.4 miles long. The trail climbs to the summit of 9,712 Ben Lomond then along a ridge to Willard Peak. There is parking and restrooms at the trailhead. Locate the map and take skyline as you would to go up to Ben Lomond peak. 1 mile before you come to the saddle that leads up to Ben Lomond peak look to you right (north) skyline area is just up the side of the hill.

HaHa no we went up to check out what was up there on the other side of Ben Lomond and on the way back down we camped by these little walls up on the hill side. I’m defiantly not motivated enough to go up just for those but if your camping in the area they do offer some fun distraction. Aug 25, 2011

I'm confused. This is on the saddle to the southeast of Ben Lomond Peak? Where the trail coming from the north fork area joins up with the trail coming from the divide? That's about a 7 mile hike from the trailhead. Did you care climbing all that way just for a 1-pitch climb? That's motivation. Aug 22, 2011
