Angel Wall
Minnesota
> Duluth Area
Description
The "Angel Wall" is a 25/30-ft vertical basalt wall on 3rd Street in Duluth with three bolts at the top for setting up top-ropes.
Getting There
Located on the northwest side of 3rd Street, very close to Piedmont Ave. You can drive there and parallel park right next to the wall.
A little ways to the left of the wall there is a path that's been trampled through the underbrush that leads up to the bolts where you can set up an anchor. It's a little unpleasant getting up there- there are brambles growing everywhere and garbage, including broken glass, on the ground.
Setting up a top-rope anchor at the top would be spooky without any pro, so bringing along a daisy chain is recommended.
