Description
Lake Louise hosts a number of fine climbing areas, ranging from some of the best craging around to adventurous mountain routes in a picture postcard setting.
The area is definitely alpine and so conditions can vary greatly from trip to trip. Plan accordingly, even for the most moderate climbs, conditions can make things interesting.
The only downside to climbing is the large numbers of tourists hanging around town, however, take a few steps along a trail and most are left behind.

Getting There
Heading north west from Calgary on the Trans Canada highway take the Lake Louise Exit. Drive past the very small downtown area with Samsons Mall, and head up the road towards the Lake. Most of the climbing is reached by driving to the roads end and parking up in the large parking lot, however some require you to take the left turn towards Moraine Lake.
