The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that: 1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor. 2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.
This is the first side encountered on the hike from the parking area and is home to a handful of routes from 5.8 to 5.12b with Peter Eater Pumpkin Eater (5.10c) and Overpowered By Funk (5.12b) the best of the lot.
Getting There
Hike northwest from the parking area aiming for the obvious largest formation in the area. The approach takes about 5 minutes from the car and is level with no boulder hopping.
