DescriptionMixed gear and bolted climbing on great Pine Creek granite, 10 minutes from the car. Three Hour Arete is THE climb to do here, with an excellent variation/addition on the fourth pitch. StrikeSlip makes a good warm up/cool down.
Morning sun. Afternoon shade. Best in winter, spring fall or late summer evenings.
Getting ThereDrive 9 miles north of Bishop on Highway 395. Turn left on Pine Creek Road past Rovana and into Pine Creek canyon.
Park 0.6 miles past Pratts Crack Gully on Pine Creek Road, to where small a creek crosses road. Walk on old mining road, to use trail. Short Class 3 to base of cliff.
