Description
Azure is a small mountain located in the Northern stretch of the Adirondack Park. There are many rock, ice, and mixed climbing opportunities here. There are many established routes as well as opportunities for exploratory route or mountaineering adventures. The view of the High Peaks from the summit can also be inspiring on a clear day.
Getting There
The first of the climbing can be reached within 25 minutes from the trailhead. Getting to the main face takes an additional 20-30 minutes in good conditions.
From the parking lot, follow the hiking trail past the register until a picnic table and small stream are reached. Cross the small stream and leave the trail to the left, following a climbers path. This will trend up and right toward the sidewalk cafe area.
