Description

Along the coast south of Conti the road ends at El Puerto. A peaceful and beautiful beach distinguished by its long pier and excellent left hand point break, if you’re a surfer definitely bring your surfboard. As you walk the beach south past the wave you are greeted with the sport wall. As you continue the boulders will be scattered and continue further south with many excellent problems and limitless possibilities waiting to be opened. Further down the beach you will reach a larger wall that has many traditional routes, many are unclimbed. El Puerto is a relatively unknown climbing area and offers many new routes and boulder problems waiting to be discovered.. The rock quality ranges from excellent to slightly loose and breaking a hold is not uncommon so climb with caution.

Getting There

From Conti head to the beach and keep driving the coast south until the road ends at the fishing port. Park next to the “save the waves” sign and walk the beach past the wave until you get to the rocks lining the beach.
