Description
This is a beautiful area set high up on the ridge. The name usually refers to the area that is accessed by the 500 year old stairway that climbs from east to west up the top of the ridge. The climbing above the stairway tends to be in the 5.11 and 5.12 range while the area past the stairway (higher up) holds more 5.10 and 5.11 routes.
Getting There
Continue up the road past the signs that say no driving. The road switches back up the hill but climber trails take a more direct line. Nearing the east end of the ridge you'll see a sharp spire ahead on your left. Start to look for a trail on the left that is marked with a cairn. If you've gone underneath the power lines you went to far.
Scramble up the hill until you find a path and stair case. "Bladerunner" is at the top of the stairs.
