The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that: 1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor. 2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.
This formation lies against the hillside, above and northwest of Vector Rock. The routes are on the northeast (i.e. shady) face.
Getting There
As you hike in from Split Rock, turn off towards Vector Rock but angle up and right for a few hundred feet. The Vogel and Bartlett guide both have topos, with the Vogel guide showing much better detail.
