Thanks for the info Terry, I was definitely worried about that with the boulder being so close to the trail and visible so easily without the leaves. It had some loose rock and holds that needed to be excavated so we thought they were definitely FA's.

Oh well, we will have to search a bit harder! :) Apr 12, 2011

Cool Terry. I'm surprised no one had posted this yet! Lets all keep up posting new material! I love it! Apr 11, 2011
Hi John and Paul - back about 10 years ago I climbed many problems on this boulder. Its easy to spot from the trail so I don't know if I was the first to be there or not. I just called it Potholes Boulder due to its location. Never named anything but had fun sending stuff. Also did a traverse around the boulder. When I told others about it at the time it didn't get much of a reaction because its fairly short and problems moderate but I do know others got on it as well. I'm glad to see it posted so others will check it out. One of these days I need to take some pictures and post stuff - Oh, and figure out how to post stuff! Apr 11, 2011

The west face of the boulder overhangs by about 10-15 degrees and was the first line I spotted. In classic Devil's Lake fashion the face has no good holds and a giant boulder blocks the start unfortunately. Apr 11, 2011

There are quite a few really good climbs on this boulder. Best part, it's a free standing boulder. Apr 11, 2011
