Description

The Anxiety State Crisis cave is enormous. Not only do you get to climb sport routes in a cave, you can climb committing multipitch routes, with insane exposure: Navigating stalactites in the roof of the cave, 70 meters off the deck. This is really cool, or terrifying. Helmets and prusiks are recommended as a fall for leader or second can leave the climber unable to contact the rock.

There are also several moderate climbs in the lower cave for a more causal experience.

If you need to take a bathroom break, please do not do so inside the cave.

Getting There

Lower entrance: The bamboo covered cave opening at air con wall, just up from the toe of the cliff. The route Cool and Funky (listed on the Aircon Wall) is just inside the cave. Walk to the very back of the cave for Underworld and neighboring routes.

Upper entrance: Continue uphill past the lower entrance. You will find a large cave entry uphill and to the right of the Reunion buttress. Some scrambling will take you to a viewpoint overlooking the main cave.
