DescriptionCan find problems out of the wind here while the rest of JT feels like climbing in a wind tunnel. Some surprisingly solid and well featured rock here given the nature of many Geology Tour boulders. Many fun moderates.
First area on the trip down Geology Tour Road. Look for pullout marker 3 on the right and park it.
Check with JT staff regarding nesting closures Details
This part of the park has been experiencing seasonal nesting closures. The usual duration for this restriction is from March 25 through June.
Getting ThereHead south 2.8 miles down Geology Tour Rd. and park at a turn out. Then walk west about .3 miles to a group of formations that make up Towers of Uncertainty. Easiest to access boulders by remaining south of entire group of formations until you hit a wash that you can follow North past Lava Dome towards Cave Rock. Boulders are scattered around, between, and on Cave Rock and Sunlight Rock. About a 10-15 minute walk.
Can download a mini topo at this blog.
