Description Suggest change

Nice outcropping of overhung rock below the dam of Beaver Creek just on outskirts of Crozet.

Getting There Suggest change

Take Rt 250 until meets junction of Rt 240.
The intersection is pretty weird where need to make turn...
If heading east on Rt 250 you'll pass under large train bridge.
Make quick left that connects to Rt 240.
Before committing to left hand turn onto Rt240 drive straight across to Old Three Notched Road.
Take this winding country road for a mile or so.
The Beaver Creek Reservoir is obvious on your left as you drive over the natural dam.
There's a small secondary parking lot before you even enter the main parking area.
Make a right into secondary parking lot and walk down below dam to the small overflow area/building.
You can climb or crawl under an old rusted wire fence to reach the rock.

As far as I can tell this rock is owned by the county of Albemarle. At the top of the outcropping is a farmers old fence ...so it's pretty obvious where his property starts.
