Mint Springs Park

Virginia > Central & South… > Charlottesville vicinity

Description

Several small bouldering areas scattered around the trail network....all visible from the trails.

Make sure to snag a map from the info kiosk near the main parking lot to get properly oriented.

Main bouldering wall is about a five minute walk from main parking lot.

The small amount of bouldering is nothing worth traveling several hours for....better for the local folks who might be passing through Crozet or those who might only have a few hours in the evening to get a workout in.

The small amount of bouldering here just adds to the variety of things you can do at Mint Springs though (i.e.: mountain biking, hiking, fishing, swimming, etc).

Getting There

Located just outside of Crozet.

From I-64: Take the 'Crozet' exit and take Rt 250 East towards Crozet. After passing Old Trail development/high school/middle schools/etc you'll reach a 4 way intersection with stop light. Make a left to head into town of Crozet. After a couple twisting miles you'll reach the town and pass under train bridge and another 4 way stop with a DQ on one corner.
Make a left to head towards Mint Springs. After a couple miles you'll see a sign directing you where to go.
