Description
The Thunder Bay region hosts many long-standing classic ice, mixed, and rock routes, as well as a lot of new development, mostly in the rock climbing arena. Most Thunder Bay's ice and mixed climbing is concentrated on steep faces of Mount McKay and Mount McRae. The impressive ice lines on the northwestern face of Mount McRae are easily visible from Provincial Route 61 just south of Thunder Bay.
