DescriptionThe Atoll is a small crag area just on the bank of the Deadman Gulch drainage/creek, a tenth of a mile in from the road. It has sharp rock on the prow routes. Sand & guano rests in some holds.
There are two fully-bolted, moderate climbs on the prow-type formation and a few partially-bolted or chopped (by FA) routes just to downstream.
It seems to get pretty nice sun, & the creek is nice!
Careful not to let your rope (or your partner) fall into the creek.
Getting TherePark at the picnic area on the right (3.7 miles from the left turn onto CO Hwy 7 from Lyons) or nearby. Deadman Gulch is on the north side of the road. Follow the stream into the gulch for 5 minutes or less (in the streambed if the water is low, or on some ill-defined trails on the east bank). The Atoll will appear on the right-hand side in a sunny alcove.
