Description
Just a few minutes from the road lies this little sub area which I think is known locally as The Gardens. Knobby granite boulders amongst the pine trees on the north shore, with very nice views. Accessible for most of the year, and especially pleasant spring and fall.
These 10 to 15 foot high boulders offer some easy to moderate boulder problems. I use them for a quick fix when I don't have a partner, or with just the kids.
Sure there's more but this is just a little opener - explore and have fun.

Getting There
Head east towards Lucerne Valley on North Shore Drive, turn left on Myrtle and follow it until it tees with West Pioneer, turn left and park by the gate - there's limited parking here.
Walk through the gate and head straight up the hill, passing over a wide trail, the trail gets faint but goes up and right of a lone tree to the boulders - 5 minutes or so from the car.
Note
If anyone knows alternate names for the area or problems, or first ascents - I'll be happy to change the titles. I've been coming here for about 15 years, I've seen chalk but no-one else around.
