North Georgia roadcut that consistently forms ice in colder temperatures. This area faces northeast, zero approach and about an hour an a half from Atlanta makes this area easy to get out to for a quick weekend session.
Near the midpoint of Richard P. Russell Scenic Highway (Highway 348) near Helen, GA. Easiest to get directions from Google, the phrase "Hogpen Gap, GA" will result in a fairly accurate marker.
Sincerely,

Just because it's been done before doesn't make it the right thing to do. Think of those implications. "Oh don't worry it's not a big deal people do that all the time" Where is the respect to this area anyway? The "Tallest ice flow " actually has a name as do other lines there, a little research on the area would lend that information. It could then be posted with courtesy to the rich climbing history that this place deserves. If it is to be placed for all to see. Just check out coolclimbing.com for your real ice porn and seice info. Or buy a copy of Michael Crowders "Southern Fried Ice". Everything you'll ever need.
