Description

This is the lower dome to the northwest, separated from Fresno Dome by a gully to the left of The West Face.The rock is well featured. This area has seen a lot of development in recent years, There are shiny bolts everywhere.

Getting There

Follow the Fresno Dome trail, but instead of heading up, continue straight. Soon the Hawk Dome summit is seen. Continue down a gully to the right that leads down along the base of the dome.

[Hide Comment] You can also approach Hawk Dome from below. Drive a bit past the Fresno Dome campground, park in a pullout at a hairpin turn. The trail starts on an on old road and then heads up the hill. Sep 27, 2015
