Description Suggest change

Snowdon is the Northernmost peak in the West Needle Mountain group. From US Hwy 550, it is a serious looking peak that looks worse than it is. Due to its proximity to the highway, it can easily be done in a day. Watch the weather as the rock can be very slick when wet.

Per Jim Beyer: it has a North face with climbs.

Getting There Suggest change

From Andrews Lake, take the Crater Lake Trail for a half mile until you top out at a meadow. Take a climber's trail through the meadow for about a mile until you reach treeline and the base of Snowdon.

Per Jim Beyer: it is 1 1/2 miles south of Molas Pass.
