Description Suggest change

This is the first major east-west rib of rock north of Sharksfin. The majority of the trad and sport routes are on the north side. The descent for the trad routes follows the 3rd class summit ridge to the east to the ground.

Getting There Suggest change

The shortest approach is from the Fish Creek trailhead.

Per [[109106735]:

1. If Rib Rock is your sole destination for the day, it is best accessed via a trail that breaks off from the trail to the Woodstone. This trail stays low in the forest crossing under Slot Rock until you are underneath the gully between Rib Rock and Mid Rib. From here, scramble up through talus until you reach the base of a steep wall on your right (the left side of Rib Rock).

GPX track:  caltopo.com/m/DB93.

2. An alternative option if you can't locate the trail junction or decide to start your day at another location is to hike to the Woodstone, then traverse for ~5 minutes north and slightly downhill to the South/West Face of Rib Rock.
