Description

Brauneck is a short trek to the west of Lenggries. There are 13 main areas at Brauneck boasting over a hundred routes. A heavy concentration lies at Wachturm, Risswand, and Ameisenwand. Brauneck is at times a popular peak to paraglide off. "Brauneck-Gipfelhaus" is a hut near the summit that is operated by the DAV. There are cable cars to the top making climbing easy to access if you can foot the bill. Call ahead to see if your Eurail will admit you to the car.
