The Echo Canyon climbing areas are located within the Henefer-Echo Wildlife Management Area. The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources closes all access to the WMA each year from January 1 to the second Saturday in April to protect wintering wildlife.
Description
A wall that runs east and west along the side of the road that has huge potential for new routes. Conglomerate formations that are up to 250 feet high, this wall has a few routes with near unlimited potential for more. With close proximity to the road, it makes for for short approaches. However, there are few trails so expect to bushwhack to get to the base of the routes.
Getting There
Just west of Bear Hollow Canyon, this wall is along the roadside where the railroad runs directly next to the road. There are two railroad utility buildings on the south side of the road directly west of a large boulder (with problems on it). This crag is just east of those buildings on the north side of the road.
