The Mine Wall

Utah > Wasatch Range > Southern Wasatch > Rock Canyon

Description

The Mine Wall is a limestone wall way in the back of Rock Canyon, just before The Threshold. There are two completed routes and an old project. The bottom of the cliff is chossy, but the rock is better higher up.

The wall faces west and generally gets afternoon sun, but is in the shade later in the afternoon. The shade combined with the proximity to the stream make this a very pleasant area on summer days.

Getting There

Instead of crossing the stream on the fourth wooden bridge, follow the obvious trail to the left. This will keep you on the north side of the stream. The first cliff you come to has an old mine right next to the trail. This is the Mine Wall. If you get to The Threshold, you've gone too far.

Approach time: 30-40 minutes.
