Description Suggest change

Északi Fal means North Wall in Hungarian, so named because it is North facing. As a result, it's a nice shady spot throughout most of the day. The tallest section of the wall goes up to 22 meters (72 feet), making it one of the taller sections at Bajót. The climbing is very consistent, without some of the scrambly endings to routes that some of the other wall sections have.

There are 9 routes to be found, ranging from V to VIII- (UIAA rating). This corresponds to a 5.7 and 5.11c in the Yosemite grading system. All the routes are bolted but bringing along a little bit of gear is helpful because they are a bit bold and appear to be more difficultly graded than some of the other walls.

Getting There Suggest change

You can find Északi Fal by walking to the far right end of Pokol Fal and keep following the trail around the corner. The two walls form almost an L shape.
