Description
In the heart of Istria, near the town of Kanfanar on the edge of the Draga valley lies the small crag of Dvigrad. The crags namesake castle has been abandoned since the plague. This adds to the peaceful wild feel of the area. If it weren't for the highway bridge spanning the valley, and the modern hardware in the cliff, you may feel like you are lost on an 11th century hillside.
First developed by a famous Italian climber, and later adopted by a local from Rovinj, the crag offers many fun routes up to 26m tall on mostly solid compact limestone. From slab to slightly overhanging this small crag has routes of all grades up to 7c+. The one 8b+, Malvazija was bolted by the Italians Maurizio Zanola-Manolo and Mauro Corona.

Getting There
Probably best to have a car for this crag. From the small town of Kanfanar, just a short distance off the main hwy, drive the small road NW of town down into the valley and pass the Dvigrad castle. When you head up the other side of the valley turn right at the next intersection. Look for parking in less than a mile, the trailhead is on the right. At this point you are above the cliff and just west of it. It's about 10 minutes to hike to the rock.
