Access Issue: (1) Weather Wall, Yellow Wall, & all the crags north of Twin Sisters are CLOSED. (2) There are no longer trash cans in the park. (3) Highlining ban in place for CIRO and CRSP Details

(1) The area, crags, and routes just north of the Twin Sisters are on private land and the landowner posted no trespassing notices at the gated road/trail to the area. Any access of these areas and routes is trespassing. The area was closed by the landowner due to trespassing, illegal camping, fires & trash, and disregard of owner's privacy.
Please be respectful of the land owner's wishes and do not climb or hike here. This includes White Lightning, Skinner Roof, Weather Wall, Yellow Wall, Larry's Annihilation, Needle Rock, Mississippi Fred's, and Secret Tom's.

(3) HIGHLINING IS PROHIBITED
Highlining at City of Rocks National Reserve and Castle Rocks State Park is prohibited as of August 28, 2019.

All the areas, crags, and routes north of Twin Sisters are on private property and the landowner recently posted no trespassing notices at the gated road/trail to the area. Any access of these areas and routes is trespassing. Please be respectful of the land owner's wishes and do not climb here until further notice. This includes White Lightning, Skinner Roof, Weather Wall, Yellow Wall, Larry's Annihilation, Needle Rock, Mississippi Fred's, and Secret Tom's.

Description

White Lightning is on private property. Anyone caught trespassing will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Route listing and information left for historical purposes.

A sweet little cliff in the area of the twin sisters. I believe there is only one route on the formation. A great place to go to escape the crowds of the main city.

Getting There

From the campsites by the twin sisters follow the two track with a locked gate west for about 10 min, until you see the obvious Skinner's Roof. Head up and left of Skinner's Roof through sage brush and faint cow trails. The nice left facing corner in the center of a small formation is White Lightning.
