A guiding group kind of just took over this area awhile ago, setting up banners, top ropes, tables and whatnot. It ruffled some feathers with some of the locals, because they had nothing to do with the FAs. That said, it's mostly beginner climbs so nobody really made a stink out of it. I strolled over and met with the guide company and they were some really nice guys who are just trying to make a living climbing.
Description
A small, non-descript wall with mostly uninteresting climbs. A guide company took over the wall some time ago and it’s mostly used to pull tourist up topropes for a ‘per ride’ charge. The carnival attraction look is complete with giant banners and stuffed animals hanging from the wall and belayers talking through headsets to the wireless speakers attached to customer’s harness. Belay on!
Getting There
On the opposite side of the street as the giant butterfly, back towards town 100 meters or so.
