Description
When you approach the Valley of the Kings from Rattlesnake, probably the best way to go is up a jumble of boulders across from The Pyramid. Some of the boulders are pretty big. There is even a climb on one of these big boulders on the approach to Valley of the Kings.
Getting There
Hike up Rattlesnake Canyon until about even with The Pyramid. Then hike up and left (to the south) up a steep hillside of big jumbled boulders. There is often water running under these boulders; you can hear it and there are small underground cave areas of ponds and small waterwalls. On this approach, you may or may not pass by a bolted face climb, the only climb I know of on this approach.
