Description

The Gore Range is one of the most untouched and unused areas in Colorado. The mountains often have long approaches, unpredictable weather, and require a full alpine skill set to safely access.

Getting There

The range can be accessed from Silverthorne, Vail, and up CO Hwy 9 to Heeney. There are many trails that access this area and are well maintained. However, once you leave the trail, all bets are off as to what you will find.
