Ezüsthegy (Silver Mountain) is a really cool old sandstone quarry with tons of bouldering potential. There is also one bolted climb on the tallest wall. The stone is super grippy, your shoes will love it. Your hands will love it too... so much so that some of your skin is bound to stay behind :-)
There are four distinct walls as well as a number of smaller boulders strewn about. Unfortunately I don't have any specific problem or route beta as this area is not listed in the climbing guide.
Ezüst Nyír is the first wall you encounter as you enter the quarry - on your right hand side. It's height is 7 meters (23 feet). Plenty highball enough to get hurt, so bring a pad and spotters.
Magányos Torony is about 8 meters (26 feet) tall and can be found just to the right of Ezüst Nyír.
Málnás is the next wall you encounter (again on the right hand side) as you make your way towards the back of the quarry. It is about 7 meters (23 feet) tall and has a lot of cool features. There is a nice low angle and short wall section just to the right of it that allows for easy warmups.
Kalahári Fal is the tallest wall in the quarry. It's located at the very back of the quarry and is 12 meters (39+ feet) tall. There is a bolted line in the middle of the wall with a chain anchor at the top.
The easiest way to the crag is taking a Volán bus to Üröm. If coming from Budapest, this will be the #840 bus that leaves from the Árpád Híd station. Get off the bus at the Üröm Templom Tér stop.
From there, follow the Budakalászi út out of town. Keep walking uphill for 15-20 minutes. You'll eventually pass by a sign that says "Kőhegy u." and points to the left up a dirt road. Don't take this, just keep walking a little more and you'll see another dirt road leading up the hill to the left.
This is the road that leads to the quarry. Keep going straight and you can't miss it. The total walking time is about 35-40 minutes from the center of town.
