Description

There are a couple of classic problems...you must hike and explore a bit or take me with you.

"The Prophet" is worth the hike in my opinion.

Eds. this is Jefferson County Open Space. There is no entrance fee. Thanks, Mike.

Getting There

Take CO Highway 93 north from Golden approximately 1 mile to Golden Gate Canyon Road. Travel west approximately 4.1 miles to Crawford Gulch Road (Highway 57). Turn right on Crawford Gulch Road and folow signs to White Ranch Park. There are two parking lots 0.3 miles apart. The first parking lot offers immediate access to the Belcher Hill Trail.

Follow Belcher Hill to the top and hike for what seems to be a mile. Once you start to drop again heading South, you should see Prophet Boulder.

I parked at the first lot off Belcher Hill Rd. (On left) If you take the Belcher Hill trail (on south side of road from first lot), you will find some boulders in no time. Jan 25, 2014
