Description

While it is located behind and the property is owned by the Georgetown Hospital, it has historically been called the Georgetown Sanctuary. It is a nice little sanctuary right in Georgetown and on an arm of the San Gabriel river. It is a nice little secluded crag located behind the StDavids Hospital Georgetown with 10+ routes set, 5.9-5.11. Developed by Luke Stollings in collaboration with the city of Georgetown, StDavids, CTM, and Southwestern University this beautiful crag has everything necessary for a hefty afternoon of climbing.

Watch for Poison Ivy and bring bug spray.

Getting There

Take I-35 to Georgetown. Look for the blue "H" signs on the interstate exits, follow these blue "H" signs to the hospital. Once at the hospital, park in the rear lot. Walk to the radio antenna at the rear of the hospital, on the far side of the portable building from the parking lot. There will be a sign at the trailhead with waivers to sign. SIGN WAIVER. Proceed down the trailhead to the river bank where you'll find this wonderful crag.
