Description

Wonderful area with a few boulders and an excellent variety of problems with flat landings. Great evening session area due to the close proximity to the campgrounds.
Always check road conditions and peregrine closures Details

Getting There

1.1 miles from Hwy 180/ Cedar Grove turn off, or .5 miles from Hwy 180 at the pack station turnoff sign. Park at the paved turnout on the south side of the road and follow faint trail through the tree line 300 feet south. You should see the "Knobs" boulder from the road.

Maybe I was looking at the wrong spot but the only paved turnout I found when I went a couple weeks ago was actually a gated entrance for an emergency helipad. We just ended up parking in general parking of a campsite a little to the west and walked up the road. The bouldering pad got a few weird looks, but it was all good. Also, we did see some bear activity around there, just as a heads up. Oct 7, 2016
