DescriptionSunny boulders that are off-trail, overlooking the Marble Fork of the Kaweah River. This is a good spot to go when its snowy elsewhere as it is south facing and gets a lot of sun.
Always check road conditions and peregrine closures Details
Getting TherePark at Wuksachi Lodge and walk out to the Lodge/Park Hwy junction, turn left and go downhill toward Lodgepole for a couple hundred feet. Look for the cedar boulders on your right, a small cluster of boulders that lie near a small grove of cedar trees. Boulder here first, the problems are good, then walk out through the forest to the sunny overlook of the Marble Fork River. Boulders are scattered all over the hillside.
Alternate parking would be a small turnout that is 0.2 miles north of the Clover Creek bridge. Walk north, up hill parallel with the road, until you see the boulders near a small grove of cedar trees.
Total hiking time from either parking would be about 10+ mins. Parking at the NPS maintenance road is not allowed.
