Access Issue: Climbing Regulations/Seasonal Raptor Closures Details

The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that:
1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor.
2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.

Description

Sitting high on the hillside is this sunny west-facing wall featuring five routes on nicely featured patina. With a nice selection of easy to moderate crack and face climbs, excellent views from the base and relatively easy approach this is a great place to escape the crowds for a few hours.

Getting There

Hike east from the pullout following a faint trail, cross a sandy wash, and then head up the rocky hillside staying more on slabs when possible. The approach takes only 15-20 minutes from the car.
