Description
Houser Buttress, on the southwest side of the Real Hidden Valley clump, is a prominent eighty foot buttress which is home to the popular Loose Lady as well as a number of other quality routes. Getting to the base of the formation does involve a bit of scrambling.
Notable climbs here include Dummy's Delight (5.9), Loose Lady (5.10a), Ladyfingers (5.10b) and Hidden Arch (5.11d).
Getting There
Walk west several hundred yards from the Real Hidden Valley parking area following a marked trail that skirts the south side of a rocky hillside. Houser Buttress is the obvious tall, south-facing narrow formation with a smooth-looking face. Tunneling upwards through blocks to reach a ledge system leading right will access the base of the formation.
