Description

There are thirty-one routes and five projects at the Zehnerstein (tooth rock). Climbs range from 5.5 ~ 5.12 (IV ~ IX), and are on limestone. It is called tooth rock because it is a tower just below the summit of Gamsknogels. The rock is excellent and the views are amazing if you can handle the long uphill approach (1-2hrs). In the winter, this may be considered an alpine climb area, but for the rest of the year it may just be a crag.

Getting There

From Munich or Salzburg: Take the A8 and get off at Siegsdorf going south on the B306. In Inzell turn left on Adlga├čer Strasse going to Sterr and then Einsiedl. There is a parking lot for the trail Kohleralm, take that trail to a forest road. Follow the labels, after 200m it branches to the right. Then it branches a few minutes later (look for big red dot). It will meet back up with the road. Take the path to the left further to the Kohleralm. Just past the alm you should see the rock.
