East Bluff

Wisconsin > Baraboo Range > Devil's Lake > Devil's Lake Bouldering

Description

Bouldering scattered along the East Bluff. The "East Bluff" is the entire bluff located east of the Lake, extending from the North Shore to the South Shore and the Balanced Rock area, and then extending east to the East Rampart (the CCC area) and beyond. Some of the bouldering is at the base of the bluff, at Lake level, while some is in the talus fields, and some is located on short cliff bands that form the upper rim of the East Bluff.

  • East Bluff North - from the North Shore to Monolith Ridge, including a few stray boulders out in the East Bluff woods.
  • East Bluff South - from the Mirror Talus boulder field to the Balanced Rock Trail area.
  • East Bluff South Face - the whole south-facing portion of the East Bluff, from the Grottos Talus all the way to the Far East
